Lighter & Stronger
LSF has the highest strength to weight ratio of any other construction material. This combined with lightness allows potential of building on top of existing buildings without impacting on existing foundations

Green & Sustainable
Galvanised steel is produced from recycled steel and is itself recyclable. ‘Cut to fit’ technology ensures minimal waste in the factory and on site with reductions on skips, transportation and landfill costs

Health & Well-Being
LSF allows high levels of thermal insulation and air tightness reducing heating costs. High levels of acoustic separation are also achieved through the air tightness and the different density boards also provide the fire integrity. The steel itself is none combustible and therefore does not add to the fire load. Steel does not creep, warp or shrink and therefore does not add to the deterioration of the internal finishes reducing maintenance.

Environment
Sites where steel is used have minimum disruption to the environment and the neighbourhood with reduced site activities and the speed of construction. The transportation and delivery of materials is reduced and on site safety is improved with the use of the lighter components. Steel can be adapted to almost any design and the cladding materials become aesthetic rather than structural so any type of cladding can be adapted or adopted to suit the client or the local planning requirements.

An accomplished builder and construction professional, Darrel has over 35 years experience in small build design, construction and development – including land development, new build housing and residential refurbishments.
Visionary leader with a proven track record in producing desirable results for clients. Darrel is also the inventor of the Modular Off-Site Loft Construction System , that is revolutionising the UK loft industry.
Mike Legate
LGS Design Specialist
Mike is a design consultant specialising in providing modular and offsite construction expertise to leading modular and other manufacturers of modern methods of construction [MMC] including light gauge steel and timber frame as well as project and design management for clients constructing projects in MMC.
With a background in architectural design he has over 40 years experience in the Off Site and MMC industry with his own consultancy, construction and developer clients and main manufacturer companies.
Tom Owen DipOCDEA, DipDEA, CSH
Energy Assessor
Tom is a fully accredited energy assessor, with a background in M&E. He has worked on housing schemes for both the private sector and housing associations along with commercial and school projects.
He focuses on working closely with the design team and the clients requirements on how best to meet Part L1a & L1b of building regulations in the most efficient and economical way for the client.
